I Think I’m Pregnant – Can You Help Me?

We can guide you through the process.

We are here to guide you through the process.

The test was positive. Pregnant. The next question that comes to mind is “What am I going to do?” It’s easy to freak out a bit, but before you make any decisions, before you just blurt it out to your parents, take a deep breath. Sure, it’s going to be hard, but it’s not impossible. Taking some time to process the news and come up with a plan will help. The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Central Oregon is here to help you sort out the confusing mess of thoughts running through your mind. Here’s where we can help.

Confirm the Pregnancy

At your first visit, we can confirm your pregnancy with a simple medical-grade urine pregnancy test. Often, with your help, we can even come close to understanding a possible due date and estimating how far along you might be.

Talk with Someone

During your first visit you will also be connected with a trained consultant. They will talk to you about your options and help you understand how you can move forward. Your conversation with them is 100% confidential and many of them understand exactly what you are experiencing since many of them have experienced unplanned pregnancy.  They provide you a safe place to ask tough questions, cry, smile or find the hope to move forward.

Provide Prenatal Vitamins

The Pregnancy Resource Center is the only place in Central Oregon where you can get a free 6 month supply of prenatal vitamins, approved by our Medical Director. Your consultant will offer them to you without cost or obligation.

Offer an Ultrasound

Many of our clients want to know that their baby is developing well and figure out when they are due. Our nurse will talk with you about the possibility of an ultrasound and set a date for you to return and have the scan done. We offer ultrasounds for free to our clients and you can bring the father of the baby, a friend, your parents or anyone else.  You will walk away with photos to share and a better understanding of your possible due date.

Help you Prepare to Share

We are here to help with practical wisdom and the words to say when you tell your parents or the father of the baby that you are pregnant.  We have found over the years that preparing ahead of time makes these types of conversations a lot easier.  If you need to talk about what to say and how to say it, we can help.

Build a Network

Your pregnancy may be emotionally draining and often physically difficult.  It’s important to have someone in your corner to help keep things in perspective and assist you in identifying help in needed areas of your current circumstances. The Pregnancy Resource Team is well connected in our communities and can assist you in identifying resources for your individual needs.  We offer parenting education courses and a Learn 2 Earn curriculum that enables you to acquire baby clothing, maternity clothing, diapers, wipes, blankets and many other items.  Our Fatherhood Coaching team is available for the men who need to establish a support network.  We are here for you!
